I want to trace Emma's Breeder

Question:
So I bought Emma at a pet store :( I know. I made a mistake. I know better now so please dont lecture me on that. I want to trace her breeder.
She was sold to PJ's Pets in Edmonton, and was bred by someone with the last name of Fitzgerald. Thats all I know. DOB: Feb 26th 2005.
How can I trace it? There are 24 pages of Fitzgerald's in Alberta on 411.ca so that doesnt help.
Answer:
I'll never understand this "don't buy from a petstore" sentiment...I guess they don't deserve loving owners? Oh well...why do you want to track the owner down?
What's the address of the joint you bought the puppy at? What kind of dog is Emma? And when did you get her?
Answer:
why can't you just ask the pet store?
Answer:
Most likely because it's 12:30am in Alberta.
Answer:
i want to trace my dogs breeder down, the kennels is called Daylib and she is a welsh springer. right now im on a hunt for her pedigree papers(so i can find the spelling) does anyone know how to spell it?
Answer:
... I did and found that my Bailey came from a mill in Mo. :( She was sold to the pet shop by a broker.

Have you ever heard of supply and demand? If no one buys from a petstore then the puppymillers will not make money, in return, will not be breeding.
You do know that a rep. breeder would not sell to a petstore, right?

the point that he is trying to get across is that puppies, like Emma, deserve a loving home just as much as those that come from reputable breeders. It wasnt her fault the people she came from were irresponsible.
Are those puppies just supposed to rot in cages? Where do they end up if no one buys them?

People like you must like seeing puppies rot in cages...
Answer:
When you buy a puppy from a pet store you are supporting puppy mills.Of course one feels bad for the puppies, but buying them will keep the mills going. If you dont know what a puppy mill is, read up on them and see the pics. It will make you sick.
Answer:
So you two honestly believe that puppy-mill dogs do not deserve homes? Loving families? That they deserve to die in their tiny cages? That is what saddens me...
I don't care who I support...every animal I take in is loved without bias.
Answer:
I am sorry. I did not want this thread to be sidetracked by making one comment about how we can all work together to stop puppy mills.
Of course I feel sick to my stomach when I see those puppies in little cages. My heart breaks for them. If I could I would rescue every one of them. But, if I do that the cycle will continue.
What about the dam to those pups. Do you have any idea what it is like to see a dog be bred by force? Have you seen the contraption that is used to hold a female in place so she can be bred unwillingly? Have you seen the deplorable conditions these dogs are kept in for their whole lives just so they can pump out puppies? Would you like to spend your whole life either being pregnant or nursing while in a cage? When you buy from a petstore you are in effect saying that is ok.
There is so much going on behind the scenes that people are not aware of. If people stop buying from petstores there will be no room for more puppies. What do you think happens to the puppies that do not sell? Alot of times they go to shelters to be adopted out. The puppies currently there will get homes. And you better believe when the puppymillers pockets are not being lined hand over fist they will slow down and eventually stop.
If you knew the reality of the situation and you are a dog lover you would never buy from a petstore.

Reality check, they will not sit there for eternity.
So you can love the one right in front of your face, but dont care at all about the rest behind the scenes. Animal lover, yeah right.
Answer:
J's Crew, I totally agree with you on this. Pet stores that sell live animals are evil, and do not deserve your patronage.

You're clueless. Of course they won't sit there forever. After being in the store for so long without being sold, they're euthenized.
You obviously only care about what makes you feel righteous.
Answer:
Makenzie, please educate yourself on puppy mills.I hope you will change your mind.

No not clueless. I HAVE a clue. You are uneducated. Yeah, I have to feel righteous about saving animals lives. Wake up.
You know when I first started in animal rescue I had the thought that I could save them all. The thought of a dog being euthenized was the worst thing in the world. Once I really started to learn reality I found out that there are much worse fates than being PTS. Maybe they will be euthenized. But the cycle will end for the other dogs that are starving, living in crap, have no love, and are used as a puppy maker. Hello? Do you get it? Geeez....
Go to your local shelter. Volunteer, see how many dogs are being PTS every day. Find out how many are from puppy mills. Do some research before you make comments. If you had any CLUE at all about puppy mills you might find your opinion changes. At least I hope it does.

So, essentially, it happens all the time so it's ok? You'll have to forgive me for not succombing to the "reared by the wrong people, let them die" mentallity.
You can believe and pursue whatever cause you want to fascinate yourself with...I'll personally continue to be overjoyed every single time an animal falls into a loving home.
Answer:
In a perfect world, every animal would be adopted out to a loving home. But this is not a perfect world. Why support pet shops and mills by buying their puppymill dogs when you can jog on over to the local shelter and rescue? Why encourage puppymills to continue pumping poorly bred dogs into shelters?
Makenzie, I understand where you're coming from. But if people keep buying them, they will continue producing them. Shelters are generally non profit organizations. Why not support them instead?

Sorry, nowhere did I say it was ok for them to die. Once again, if it wasnt for puppymills alot would not be there in the first place. Do not twist my words.
Obviously you are overjoyed in your lack of education and ignorance. Which, after reading a over some of your other posts is no surprise to me.
Have a good day.

.....
Answer:
OK!!! Back to the question ! If the pup had any papers you can trace through the CKC. ( or where ever the litter was registered. ) Problem is, most of those papers are fake when from a puppy mill. Please don't re hash the BYB/mills/HS issues.

Why are you trying to find him?
Answer:
Got him. He'll be calling me back sometime this evening.
Answer:
That Petshop puppies site looks promising.
A paperless dog is gonna be very hard to track down. Any particular reason you want to know?
