Question:
Hey..
It's me again. Oh boy... I have a question. Our puppy T-Bone was really good with the sit, she got the down, drop it, and leave it. Plus, I started the sit and stay.
I'm with her most of the time and I know she loves me, but she loves my husband, too. Which is great. Now, my husband left tuesday and since then T-Bone is a totally different dog. She is super dominant, bossy, and all she'll do is sit.
Is it possible that she is really suffering that he left? I am trying to be very understanding...do you think she'll just forget in a couple of days?

Answer:
It is tough to deal with. When Brian and I first were apart he had Teddy and he was a mess. Teddy would chew anything and everything and would NOT listen. I was the one that spent every single day all day with Teddy. When Brian was working I was home with Teddy. He is with me now but when Brian comes for a visit and then goes away Teddy is sad and walks around the house crying.
The best thing that you can do is give him lots of love and affection. Let him know that just because there is only one of you he is not going to be missing out on anything. Do a lot of training with him yourself and get him back on a routine. Give him LOTS of exercise so that when he is inside he is too tired to act up. and when you get inside give him lots of lovin.
