I was just wondering if there was a formula, or way to tell how big a puppy will grow up to be, assuming they are fed a normal diet. ? I heard to take their weight at 4 months, double it and add 10, or I even heard somewhere else to add 20%. Is that right?

Well, you look at the breed and look at the parents.........but if you don't know the breed and the parents you sort of have to guess... Great big feet usually mean a big dog! Other than that, I honestly do not know if there is a formula... I would be interested if there is though....

Our beagle mix adult has paws about the size of our 8 week old puppy's paws (rottweiler/golden retriever mix...known parents, both akc dogs)...I think the puppy will be a big adult. The vet says "huge"... Foot size seems pretty accurate in a best guess sort of way . God bless! -Ron
