Question:
I would really appreciate if someone, anyone, could shed some light on this situation. My dog is 4 years old and doesnt pee in the house since puppyhood. But today she seemed to drink a lot of water and then it is as if the liquid just goes right through her. She was in the house for maybe 1 or 2 hours and she urinated on the rug, we though it was an isolated episode so we scolded her for urinating in the house. Then we put her outside and the first thing she did was urinate. I just want to know if she might be sick or something, and if she is what do i do?
Why is she urinating excessively?
Answer:
well it probably is because drank the water too fast and she couldnt hold that much in her bladder.just let her out right after she drinks alot of water.and if doesnt stop just take her to the vet.
Answer:
Honestly, if she drinks excessive amounts of water, she is going to need to be let outside within the hour. If the issue is that she is drinking excessive amounts of water on a constant basis, then she needs to be evaluated by a Vet.
Answer:
If she is the type that NEVER has an accident in the house, you may want to take her to the vet. Could be a UTI.
Answer:
She needs to go to the vet now! Could be diabetis, cushings, kidney, or any number of things. We cannot diagnose your dogs ailment over the internet.
Since she is one of the deep chested dogs, you need to be careful not to let her drink large amounts of water, especially after she eats, as that can cause bloat.
