Question:
My 11 year old Husky/Shepard mix is becoming increasingly Nervous. She has always been nervous during thunderstorms but now it is happening almost every day. Usually before an episode she will tilt her head a couple times and look at the floor. She then starts panting, trembling, and climbing all over me. The vet gave me some traquilizers and said she might be sensing a bear or cayote as we live in the country but last weekend she had an episode while taking a ride in my truck.
I would apperciate any imput. Thanks
Answer:
She could be feeling insecure while out or even if she is sensing some animal she might feel like she has to face it on her own, I would suggest offering her extra attention and affection when she first starts to show signs of nervousness.
Answer:
Hmmm could swear I already replied to this.
Could be she is having seizures. You could try some Rescue Remedy when this happens. There is also Rock Rose for thunderphobia - both are Back Flower Remedies sold at health food stores.
